I pray that as you read you will find some peace, some comfort, and some hope in knowing that others have faced moments that seemed meant to destroy, but they came through with victory because God had a purpose.
There seems to come a time in everyone's life when we face a "silver-cup" moment. A moment that looks like it is going to destroy you. A moment where, not necessarily through any fault of your own, it seems like your life is over. A space in time where you cannot see a way through and everything around you is dark.
When Benjamin, in Genesis chapter 44, was found with the "stolen" silver cup that belonged to Joseph...he and his brothers believed that their lives were over. Benjamin was innocent, he had done nothing wrong. However, the situation was designed for a purpose. Hearts were searched, motives and intents were revealed, forgiveness was offered, and a family was restored and saved from famine.
It is my true hope and prayer in sharing my silver cup moments and those of others, that God will bring you a strengthening of faith. That He will help you to realize there is a PURPOSE for every circumstance He allows into our lives. There is a distinct difference between a reason and a purpose. We could name dozens of possible reasons why something is happening and that gets us nowhere. However, a purpose indicates that God is working in us and moving us toward something greater that we can understand.
I pray that God will help you through these testimonies and that you are able to find your way through your storm and that you come out on the other side stronger than you've ever been in your walk with God.
